Slides from my lumpectomy three weeks ago are now going to Mass General for a third report.  I've gone from a Dx of DCIS Stage 0 to mixed tumor, DCIS and IDC, Grade 3 cells and Er/Pr negative.  HER2 Dx still out.

Margins were a mix of clean to close (1.5mm and .5mm).  On Monday I will have a re-excision and sentinel node dissection.

This has been an emotional roller coaster.

Anyone out there that can relate?

On top of all this, I'm a VERY HEALTHY 76 year old.  But, I feel I won't have as many treatment options as someone younger. 

Would love to hear from other "older" women.
