Hey all,

I'm a 34 year old recently diagnosed (september 2015) with a large breast cancer (8cm) grade 3 and stage 3. Was originally misdiagnosed by breast cancer clinic and persisted and got a biopsy done 4 months later. Found out its oestrogen receptive (90%) driven. Had a right side mastectomy and axillary node removal (2 out of 14 nodes cancerous). Currently undergoing TAC chemo dose dense for 4 months (until feb) , then radiation and hormone therapy to follow.

Trying to be positive- changed to mainly vegetarian diet with fish, exercise 4 times a week now, try to de-stress and ditched alcohol completely.

No children, but had IVF done, so hopefully one day :) but do get down at times when thinking about the stats and potential of recurrence?

Have many people with similar diagnosis suffered from recurrence and are there many stage 3 young survivors out there?

Thank you,

    Hi Lottemarine-

We want to welcome you to our community here at BCO. We're sorry for the circumstances that have brought you here, but we're glad you found us, and hope you find the support you need!

Our Young with Breast Cancer forum may be a good resource for you. Being diagnosed at your age does raise other concerns (like fertility) that some older women may not have to consider. Reading other member's experiences and advice, who've been where you are right now, can prove to be helpful, and hopefully help alleviate some of your concerns.
