still waiting! If you asked to join please be patient with me, I am at work and trying to look as much as I can during the day!
Cathy since it was your idea do you want to be an admin with me, that way you can also except requests. I don't think it will be a very dramatic group to admin! We've already been together a long time without problems really it's just to let people in
(I admin another group that has nonstop drama)

Loves...Jill...sure, I'll help. I'm so happy this is coming along. It feels more like a normal life (minus breast cancer) to communicate on FB. Although BCO is still my lifeline
-
I love the idea, I just send my request. I'm Anita Greifenstein

Hi ladies! Guess I'm going to have to finally break down and get on Facebook ....
-
Cathy or Jill, could one of you pin the post with our BCO names? I keep going back to see who everyone is. ☺️

Haven't posted in a while so I'm a little late to the Facebook party. I think it's a fantastic idea! I've already requested to join. I'm still getting Herceptin, on Femara after Aromasin and Arimidex played hell with the joints in my hands. When I saw my onc this week and mentioned I'd had headache since last week and wondered if it was either the Femara [which I started Fri 11/11] or stress, he said take Tylenol and if it's not gone in a couple of days we'll schedule a brain scan. I really don't think it's brain mets and surprisingly I'm not freaking out. My husband is though, bless him. The sooner all of this is in my rear view mirror the better.
-
HI delight55, its so terrible that a normal ache or pain can trigger a scan. I had a terrible upper arm ache for a few days and ran past my NP and she reminded me I had just had my flu shot. duh. now it's gone but it hurt like all 'get out'. Here is hoping it goes and no need for a brain scan.

Got a call from MO. Gonna have a ct guided biopsy to the knot under my arm. The ct showed a mass over 3cm and said "cannot rule out metastatic disease". Trying not to freak out but of course the waiting for insurance approval , scheduling, actual test and waiting on results is just torture. Actually glad to maybe finally get an answer to what is going on after this has been an issue starting back in Aug.

Thinking of you Mena! Please keep us posted.

Happy Thanksgiving Ladies, We have a lot to be thankful for this year. Last year's holidays sucked. Hope everyone enjoys the day tomorrow in how every way you celebrate.
-
Oh Mena that's so scary, I hope it turns out to be benign. The waiting is so horrible. Keep us updated.
-
Mena, hoping it's not cancer and glad that you're getting biopsied so that you know. My fingers are crossed for yo

One year ago, I knew I had cancer. This is also my birthday. I can now say time has flown. I went out with friends, walked and did many mundane things that I used to take for granted.
I would not be sane without the support of you ladies this past year. I am truly grateful to you all.

Finally have CT guided biopsy scheduled for next Friday. I finally had to get on the phone myself and start making phone calls. Turns out the person sending referrals sent it to the wrong place twice! Then was told by the hospital that they decided they would not do it CT guided but ultrasound guided. I explained to 3 different people that it did not show up on ultrasound twice and that is why my Doctor ordered CT guided. That was news to them as they had not received the ultrasound reports with the referral. It was all so very frustrating. The waiting is just torture and the stress of having to try to get people to speak to the actual patient is just awful! I finally got to speak to a nurse navigator and I think she is what finally got it handled. Thankful because if I had just kept quiet and had the ultrasound guided it would most likely been a complete waste of time. Still have to wait another whole week....Rant over. Everyone have a wonderful weekend!
-
Mena, how are you?

Yes Sheri64 I'm exhausted all the time. No energy, no motivation and no concentration span.
