Hi 2brandy! Glad you found me. I'm in a much different place 2 years post op than I was when I was originally contemplating a phase 2 procedure. Right now I can say that though I spent much time reviewing my options and even when to another PS at Emory for a second opinion... I'm not touching anything. Unfortunately I have PMPS (post mastectomy pain syndrome) which for me is severe nerve damage, neuropathy and allodynia. A second surgery would be intolerable. I'm curious as to what you may be considering in a revision surgery? I'm more than happy to talk much more in depth if you'd like. Goodness knows I put a lot of research and appointments into my prior considerations! (Let's just hope I remember everything). You can send me a personal message, even chat on the phone if that works better. Also quite curious, was Dr. Simpson your BS?

Hi Tasal, I am so sorry to hear of your PMPS and that after all this time you are still suffering. It is so much to just be diagnosed and then have surgery, etc to now have this issue also to live with. Is there not something that could be done? My breast surgeon was Elizabeth Steinhaus but I believe Simpson is in that practice. Do you think it was from the mastectomy or the reconstruction. I guess that would be hard to figure out if like me you had them done at the same time. I will see Dr. Beegle this week and will then know my options. I just really don't want to do anything with the good breast but symmetry is an issue. Have a great week.
