Muscle and joint pain during radiation - HELP!

Options

I have an arthritic knee, but otherwise nothing else I've been aware of. Since starting radiation my hips have been KILLING me. Recently my lower back has hurt so much it wakes me up at night. I'm taking ibuprofen, which helps, and stretching, which helps a little bit.

I've had severe fatigue from the double-dose radiation (3 week treatment where I get whole breast plus targeted lumpectomy) and other side effects. I don't know if this is from the rads or being too sedentary. Is anyone else experiencing this? I've never been woken up by severe pain before. Even my knee usually doesn't hurt that much, and it doesn't hurt substantially more.

Could be from lying flat on a hard table? Are they putting something under your knees to protect your back and hips?

The fatigue is just plain old par for the course.

Hmm...I am lying face down on a flat table, without anything under my knees and hips. It's padded, though not overly so. Could that be why?

I had joint pain during chemo (dr says neulesta was culprit). It started to improve after chemo but flaring back up now that I'm doing rads. I was on a muscle relaxer during chemo but during rads Motrin is working so far. Lower back, hips, knees ankles. Same as during chemo.

Thank you! It's so weird to me. My arthritic knee isn't any worse, but my hips hurt all the time, even to the touch. And my back's a mess. I'm doing stretches and that helps.
