That's the ball at Times Square that they drop every New Year's Eve. They do a count down to the New Year as the ball descends, once it is at the bottom we are in the New Year.

Kay.....was to NY 3 times in my 80 years....once when I worked for GSK they had a business meeting with a shoe "Miss Saigon".....and when my sons worked in the Trade Show Business I went to th "Toy Show" held every year for the nest years today's..He did the Hasbro set-up....would never go NY Eve, and especially now now with all the terrorism going on........
