Sex question

I hope I can write this tastefully enough because I am embarrassed to discuss it with anyone. I have been taking Armidex for five years and will continue for another five because of being Stage III. I am afraid that I am experiencing vaginal atrophy after being blocked from hormones so long. Sex is not uncomfortable for me because we use lubricants. This is the hardest part to say; it just isn't as enjoyable for my husband or for me because the fit is not tight like it used to be. My husband has not complained or been less than supportive but it is obvious that sex isn't what it used to be. Any suggestions? And yes, I am very very grateful to be alive and coping with cancer medication and chemo problems. And yes, I know the other ways but we have always enjoyed "the act" as the grand finale. I sincerely hope I did not offend anyone. There are few places to turn with such a problem. My husband's fulfillment is especially important to me.

ahhh..sex. I think breast cancer affects our sex lives in many different ways. I have no advice, but for me I have come to accept the difference.

Mimi, you don't mention your age or your husband's, but at least some of the issue might be just getting older. For many men, erections aren't as...ahem...firm, and this can affect the "tightness" sensation.

Have you tried Kegel exercises to tone the pelvic floor?

In my humble opinion, this is something you should bring to your gyno and onc, and don't be embarrassed. There are women (and oncologists) who are comfortable with topical applications of estrogen.
