TE on radiated side without use of Lat dorsi or any other flap

just had a surgery to place TE on radiated side directly using directly pectoral muscle and some fat grafting, and prophylactic mx with TE on non cancer side. Right now it doesn't look pretty, feels very uncomfortable, but that is to be expected.
I was told that without lat Dorsi flap, there is much lower chance that implant will hold on radiated side...
Does anyone have any experience to share? I don't exactly know what to expect...
