Perjeta AFTER surgery anyone?

I didn't get my cancer details till after surgery, I didn't think it was necessary or plan well enough ahead to do neoadjuvant therapy. That didn't work out too well. Anyway, during our meeting with the MO she said the way perjeta is written in the books, or whatever insurance companies look to for guidance, there is a loophole for post surgery use if you fit certain criteria (something like early stage, mid size, node positive?). It really depends on your insurance company if they go for it or not. Well, I got a letter from my insurance company today and they are "a go". The only thing I can find on the internet (about post op use) Is a study that ongoing till next year. Of course, everything we're doing here has side effects, hopefully justifiable for a greater cause, just wondering what folks know about/personal experience with post-op Perjeta? TIA..

Pezgal, I'm doing Herceptin/Perjeta after bmx, and I did several cycles before the surgery. I'm switching insurance soon--no choice about it--and hope I can continue since it seems to be getting/keeping me NED. I find Herceptin/Perjeta very manageable. When I had them before surgery with Taxol, I had fairly consistent gastric symptoms, mostly diarrhea, but I've had three infusions post surgery and haven't seen problems at all. As treatments go, this one seems pretty easy, and it's only once every three weeks.
