Remember our Sisters who are Veterans today

I just wanted to remind that on this Veterans Day to not forget to take a moment to remember all our Veterans, young and not so young. Especially our women Veterans who are among the 'not so young' as it often seems that this group is 'forgotten', even by those in our age group.

I was blessed to have met a fantastic WAAC at our Women Vet's Support Group in the mid '90's. She was probably the strongest woman I have ever known and gained so much from her. Alas - BC took her far to soon. She had been an Army RN in 'Nam and years later developed (and fought for years) BC issues that had no known information on at that time. She fought for years and buried her daughter with the same issues. When she passed her body was sent to a major research facility and was returned a year+ later for interment at a National Cemetery.
