Lumpectomy without radiation

my mom is a healthy active 91 year old just diagnosed with breast CA. She does not want the five weeks of radiation. she still prefers lumpectomy. At that age is reoccurrence rate less of a concern?

Yes the new recommendations are that women over 70 do not need radiation for early ER positive breast cancer. http://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/804584
