Hi, I'm truly sorry for your diagnosis. The better news is that there are many treatments available for bc and there is hope. I'm not sure what stage you are at with diagnosis and treatment but the members here will help you through every step.

Keep posting with details and we will help you.

You probably have invasive cancer if you have it in the lymph nodes. But, people survive bi-lateral BC. I know a woman who was diagnosed with bi-lateral node positive BC at the same time I was diagnosed in 2009 and she is fine. I know several people who are fine after thyroid cancer, some of whom had already been treated for breast cancer. Thyroid cancer is pretty manageable nowadays. So survival is certainly possible!

Sending you love. This CAN be OK. One step at a time.

Everyone I know who had thyroid cancer is doing fine (alive, well, working, traveling)--and the treatment for it is easily tolerated and relatively short. You’ll be okay.

As to your breast cancer, don’t put the cart before the horse until you have your full diagnosis--including post-surgical biopsy. You might not have as aggressive a cancer as you fear. And you have hundreds of sisters here for help, hugs and hope.

I have a friend who was dx with cervical cancer, breast cancer and thyroid cancer all within two years..........that was six years ago and she has survived and is thriving. All things are possible so never give up hope that you will be just fine. There are so many treatments available to us now that were not available a few years ago and new ones coming all the time...........go with the thought that while there is life there is always hope.

Chin up and face this head on.......refuse to give in to the fear.

    Love n hugs. Chirssy

Bellhouse, you must be flawed with shock.Try to stay strong - it will be different once you have a treatment plan in place....I can't speak about thyroid cancer, although my step brother had it 12 years ago at age 22, still going strong today - I also read Sophia Vegera had it when she was 29?

I was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer: my oncologist told me that my prognosis was based on the stage of the 'worst' lesion and about the same as unilateral breast cancer. As ChiSandy said, wait for your full diagnosis.

There is a thread for those with bilateral breast cancer; there's quite a few of us, some several/many years out, feel free to jump over.
