Question about Caregivers?

Hi there,

I have been visiting this group and posting for a couple of months now. I was wondering if the topics such as monthly chemo threads, etc. are specific to those with cancer and not caregivers? My mom has cancer and I am a caregiver but she doesn't really want to post on the forums so I kind of post on her behalf but I don't feel comfortable sometimes so I will start a new thread but then no one answers it.

I was wondering if it is offensive as someone not having cancer to post in a thread that is mostly made up of those with cancer?

I really don't want to offend anyone and I try to be as compassionate and understanding as I can. Cancer is so awful especially for those who have it. I don't want to step on toes!

Help!

Melanie, I just love that you are so caring! We can see in your bio line that you are her caregiver, and I cannot see anyone being offended by someone who cares so much.

Melanie, it's a very thoughtful concern you have. We agree: it's very understandable that you're posting for your mom and advocating for her -- you can feel free to join in on the chemo and other treatment forums and ask your questions, etc. We know our amazing members will be happy to help as much as they can!

Best of luck to your mom, and thank you for being her advocate!
