Waiting a few weeks on AIs?

Did anyone wait a while after rads to do AIs. I had high grade DCIS with comedo necrosis. Did my lumpectomy in August and just finished rads. Supposed to wait two weeks before starting Femara. Thinking of making it 5 or 6 weeks instead so I start after an early December vacation. Anyone else take that long a gap?

    My MO had said to give it a month in between, so I did. He wanted to be sure that we could tell what side effects were from the radiation and which from the Tamoxifen. I can’t see why 5-6 weeks would be a problem, but if you are concerned, maybe just ask your doctor.

    Thanks for the reply, Annette. That's interesting to know. My MO is not great at communication - I might get a call back by Christmas. Think I'm going to just let my RO know at the followup and wing the decision.
