Biopsy DONE! (Now I wait.)

Had my core needle biopsy done this morning.
I was SUPER nervous going in, but it really was a piece of cake. I was warned that the shot to numb me would burn, but to be honest, it didn't. I felt the initial prick of the needle, but that was it. No burning and no pain during the biopsy. I was SO relieved!

She did place a clip at the biopsy site, so I had to have a quick mammogram after the biopsy, to make sure that the clip could be seen, then I was able to go home.

I'm wearing a sports bra and plan to keep it on for a while as I'm already pretty sore. I've got an ice pack on also, which they told me 30 minutes on and 30 minutes off.
All in all, not a bad experience, thankfully! (You guys sure did help to make this easier. The support and encouragement has been amazing!) They told me I should have my results by Friday.
