Chemo starts today....

At 12:30 p.m. my mom will get her first chemo treatment. She has been so strong but today is feeling tons of emotions. I told her that she is entitled to feel however she wants to feel and doesn't need to put a strong front on all of the time.

She will go to the hospital for 11:30 p.m., register and head to the Chemo Suite (as they call it). My sister will go with her today and I will go the next time with her. We were told her treatment would take about 3-4 hours. She has anti-nausea meds that she has to take 1 hour before the chemo starts and she will get Nuepogen shots for 7 days following her chemo starting tomorrow.

Her chemo regimen will be FEC-D, 3 treatments for FEC and 3 of D.
