tattoo after treatment?

My daughters want us to get a pink ribbon tattoo. This will be my first. Are there any medical reasons not to? And can I get it on the wrist of the arm my lymph nodes were removed from?

    there is a recent thread concerning tattooing on the lymphedema board right here on BCO.org you might want to check out - though It was specifically about tattooing warnings about not to take blood pressure etc on that arm. Personally, I would not get a tattoo on that arm/wrist side you had surgery- but I see no problem with the other arm.
