afinitor (everolimus) tablets

Has anyone found Afinitor to help advanced cancer. My markers have gone down.

    Hello,

    When your doctor has blood drawn for CEA and CA15, these test are called "markers" and show if your cancer is rising or declining. My medicine Afinitor or Everolimus has helped my markers to go down. Every medicine has side effects. I have swelling, and some tiredness, but I'm really doing quite well.

    Hi Survivor 24,

    I will start Afinitor next week. My tumor markers are meaningless so not measured. I do get pet/ct scans every 3 to 4 months. I had a recent progression but my mets are just in the bone with low tumor volume. So I am hoping afinitor plus extemestene will keep e stable a long time.

    Nice to know someone else is onthis medication
