I am ER negative, PR+ 35-45%, HER2-(+1)

I read that only 2% of BC is ER-,PR+

Anyone else out there? Thoughts on whether hormonal treatment is worth it?

Hi Hazel - Have you had more than one pathology review? If your tumor was tested at local hospital and not a NCI-designated cancer center, I would consider sending it out for further testing.

I have been tested twice. The second time was when it was sent for Oncotype testing. I was rejected for Oncotype testing when they confirmed I am Estrogen negative. However, I agree I should check farther because this is such a rare subtype and I have read at least one article suggesting that ER-, PR+ results are probably an error.

I have the same diagnoses as you: ER- PR+ HER2- I was told my tissue sample would be tested again because the dx is rare.

My sample is from a core biopsy and I am going to have a lumpectomy in November. From what I have read as long as either the ER or PR is positive the treatment and outcome are the same.

I am more or less in the same position however I am HER2+++ and PR+ (50%). My tumor was first tested at a local lab but then sent to Dana Farber and confirmed. My MO wasn't sure what to do with me either and sent me for a consult at DFCI. They didn't have anything important to add---they want me treated just as though I were ER+.

I am so er-/pr+ but her2+ and my onc said it was very rare results. Also im confused by the dx that I have IBC listed as my current medical condition but pathology lists it as IDC...

She just tells me I have a weird rare cancer. She's not been the most informative person and thankfully leaving my facility in a month. Hoping whoever is my new MO will shed some light on it.

Admittedly I've not done any research myself after initial googling because I didn't like things I was reading so I just have trusted them to tell me what treatment plan to go with.
