Any cold cappers using keratin hair fibers for thinning spots?

Hi, This is my first post -- I've just signed up to the discussion board. I've had three dose-dense AC treatments so far (one more to go!) and then I switch to weekly Taxol. I've been cold capping but I've been shedding a lot and at this point the hair on top of my head is very thin. A few people have mentioned Nanogen or Nanofibres to fill in the thin spots but I'm wondering if that's the kind of stuff that needs to be washed out daily or every couple of days. With the cold caps, I'm only washing my hair weekly and I definitely don't want to increase that because my worst shedding days follow every shampoo day. Advice? Also, I know you aren't supposed to use hats or headbands while cold capping, but has anyone found a way to do a loose hat or headband that didn't pull on hair follicles but helped hide a thinning scalp?

Hello there! I am a cold capper as well I start my 2AC dose dense Friday!  I don't think u are suppose to use any sort of pony tail or headband at all! Not even clips anything that causes tension on the hair!

    What shampoo are u using!

I've been switching around shampoos. All sulfate and paraben free. I also started rinsing with apple cider vinegar and water because the top of my head -- where I have lost a lot of hair -- got scaly and itchy and I heard that rinsing with one part apple-cider vinegar to three parts water would help. I'm now done with my four AC treatments. Starting next week with Taxol weekly for 12 weeks. I've heard that's more gentle on follicles than the AC. Anyone found that to be the case? Like I said, I'm really thin on top -- so much so that if I went out without a hat or the keratin fibers, I'd be worried I'd look like Bozo the Clown.
