What are the chances?

I'm a 2 year Stage 3 lobular BC survivor. I'm having pain and now itching on my previous cancer side. I called my breast surgeon because I was almost due for a ck up and complained of the pain -armpit pain but radiates around to my back and shoulders - burning and stinging mostly. She ordered an ultrasound before seeing me. I had the ultrasound Friday and results were a pocket of fluid under arm, near axillary incision and on the outside the edge of the Breast implant. Tomorrow they are going to aspirate and send to pathology. In the last 24-48 hours the itching under my arms is insane!

Surely not IBC now? Ideas, thoughts and opinions please!

Sounds (to me) like an infection - not IBC at all. No one here can tell you what is going on - only your Dr(s) can.

Thanks for responding. I don't feel bad (or at least any worse than normal ). I can't figure out how infection could be going on since I haven't had an opening since February! I guess I'll know soon enough

Thank you I did --- shingles. So painful and of course right in the radiated skin but hey, ive gotten worse news before. I think the worse may be over. Hurting but not miserable.
