On October 2, 2014 I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS with comedo necrosis. Two biopsies, two lumpectomies and 35 doses of radiation later, I started to relax. On September 28, 2015 I was diagnosed with high grade Endometrial Adenocarcinoma. I am really scared about this one. Having a hysterectomy on October 28th

I'm so sorry that you're facing a second cancer!!! I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy 3 weeks ago along with an oophorectomy. I felt good after just a few days and have recovered well. My breast cancer returned, so my surgery was to make me postmenopausal pronto. I don't know anything about endometrial cancer, but I wanted to let you know that if you're able to do the surgery laparoscopicaly, then the surgery recover is not bad. Hugs, prayers and every good wish!!

Lindab, I have had both endometrial and breast cancer. In my case I had the endometrial first (2009) and then DCIS in the left breast (2010) and then tubular carcinoma in the right breast in 2012. they were able to do my hysterectomy laparoscopically and as theresa said the recovery was not bad. My treatment after surgery was 28 doses of radiation. Good luck!

I had dcis g3 er+ in 2009 and then was diagnosed with endometrial cancer - with a hysterectomy in 2014. I was post-menopausal with symptoms of light brown discharge starting about 8 months before surgery. went to doctor when red in Sept 2013, hysterectomy in January2014 - my staging was 1a - only on the surface of the endometrium - no treatment other than the surgery with follow up exam every 6 months. I too was much more afraid of the endometrial cancer than the bc. I didn't find a site comparable to BCO for endometrial - but checked the ACA and Mayo clinic sites for example. If my recollection is correct - the adenocarcinoma is the most common and is less aggressive than some other endometrial cancers. I too had laparascopic surgery and my recovery was not difficult. good luck to you.
