Group Program for Breast Cancer Survivors in Toronto, Ontario

Options

We are offering a group program, free of charge, for breast cancer survivors who are experiencing cognitive complaints, such as difficulties with memory, difficulties focusing and multi-tasking. The program consists of 2 hour long weekly sessions and continues for 5 weeks. The main focus of the program will be teaching cognitive strategies to help participants manage their complaints. In addition, participants will be asked to complete questionnaires at the onset of the program and at the end to help researchers better understand their symptoms and to evaluate this program. Participants must have completed treatment at least 12 months before the onset of the program (except hormonal therapy). This research is being conducted at York University and has undergone evaluations by the Research Ethics Board. Every effort will be made to take participants' schedules into account.
