radiation therapy and heart attack

very recently a favorite facebook friend & a fellow traveler of a school I wnt to when I was 15 & he was 13, I left & the next year he came, so we actually never met, He also lived in the same small ca town where I grew up. He had prostate cancer, in remission he was told, & it seemed so, he'd had radiation for it & only commented that it had made h im veryt ired. I just googled side effects of the therapy on wikipedia, knew it would be there, & sure enough, as is there usual practice with anything critial of conventional therapy or pro altenative, it was quite far down on the list. John was driving & had the heart attack, he manage to pull pff to the sde of the road & turn off the car before he died. He will be sorely missed. when I commented a few years ago when he first mentined his trouuble & I mentioned that I didn't think conventional therapy for cancer was good, that he & i were of two different tribes/ wiki said way far doen on the list of side effets danger from death from heart attack as an effect of the ratiation

Abigail - I am sorry for the loss of your friend, but I would really hesitate to conclude that your friend's heart attack was a side effect of his past radiation treatment for prostate cancer (which is generally nowhere near the heart...) . abigail48, so sorry about your friend but I agree completely with Lojo about this. The prostate is not close enough to the heart for radiation to have an impact. Even breast cancer radiation on the left side can be done keeping the heart out of the field most of the time. Please try not to look for a concrete reason why your friend's heart stopped working. It could be any number of things that caused it, but radiation is very unlikely to be one of them. Hugs!
