Hi,

On 2011 I had a left mastectomy with an implant reconstruction. Chemo or radio wasn't necessery. But I'm on tamoxiphen since then. I used to do lot of sport before: aerobic, dance, pilates, etc. My doc said that after mastectomy I couldn't use weight, but after a year he said I can return to my normal excercise activity including chest excercises. I've being doing this carefully. But a week ago I decided to pay a personal trainer. I explained eveything to him but I realized he likes to be overdemanding on my point of view.... So I talked to him again explaining what drugs I had to take, which was not only tamox but also somenthing to help me sleep. So now he asks me how do I feel.. well my first question is:

1. Does tamox reduces your energy to do aerobics? Because I used to feel very exhausted (this is my first week). But at the same time I realized how much his diet help me to increase the energy as well as the vitamin and ginseng I'm taking. I' m also taking body building amino acids. All this has also help me emotionally, I was depressed, no motivation, now I feel I do what I like... I also could stop using the drug to sleep and to sleep well..

2. And my second question is related to ginseng... I've read that survivors to breast cancer schouldn't take it, but my doc said that there is no research that demostrates this, but he said is better no to take it just in case.... what do you thing? I think it also has helped me to feel better emotionally, so I wouldn't like to leave it now.. it's just for a couple of months...

I appreciate any insight.

Dani
