Hardness in the area where fibroadenoma was removed from
Hello everyone,
I am new to this forum and very much worried about my breast condition. I am 24 and around 6 months back I noticed a small mobile lump in my right breast. It was about 1.5 cm at 12'o clock near the nipple. My doctor removed it in excisional biopsy and discovered it as fibroadenoma. Right after the surgery I started finding the area from which fibroadenoma was removed, as very hard. The upper skin became stiff although it was very soft before the surgery. Thinking of it as a normal reaction to surgery I ignored the condition. A week back I felt pain in the same area which had turned harder than before. In the self examination I felt a hard stiff nodule bigger than before in the same area though the nipple and all the other areas are normal and show no signs to be worried about. Yes I will be seeing the doctor at my earliest but still need to know if this condition is normal in every woman who gets her fibroadenoma/lump/anything removed? If not, is it something which can be cancerous? I have no family history of breast cancer at all. Also, I have been diagnosed with hormonal imbalance and I am currently on Diane-35 as prescribed by the doctor.
Your views would be very helpful.

Hello,
My two cents: could be fat necrosis! But IM NOT A DOCTOR just a patient who has had fat necrosis after surgery. FN is harmless but a nuisance!
Please check with doc

I had something similar happen. I am 31 with a history of fibroadenomas. 3 years ago I had 2 of them frozen via cryoablation. The one in my right breast was easy peasy and healed without issue. The one in my left breast was another story. He had a very hard time getting the probe into that one and it was much more painful and harder to recover from than the right. As it healed I noticed the area hardening. I figured it was scar tissue and didn't worry about it too much. Last month I noticed the area was as hard any more but that there are a small nodular area where it was. I just had it biopsied yesterday... No idea what it is yet.
