Article in today's Washington Post's "Medical Mysteries" series about a baby with severely swollen lower limbs - good thing mom was persistent. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

NatsFan, that article is such a story of determination, as you say. It should make every reader indignant to see how many of the baby's doctors had zero clue about primary LE. How shocking that some of them figured it out by googling! We have such a problem with education of health care providers. NLN seems not up to the task. Heather Ferguson's experience with her son's misdiagosis is unforgivable, and her response--to advocate, push, cajole, and lobby for garment-coverage legislation--makes her a hero in my eyes.
