hi everyone did anyone develop issues with their throat during radiation. I have been experiencing a constant feeling that I need to clear my throat and hoarseness. I informed my RO and she sent me for an ultrasound of my neck which showed some benign nodules. In the meantime she also asked me to see my MD to make sure it was nothing viral. I got really worried when my MD told me that sometimes after radiation you can develop thyroid cancer. That's all she needed to say. Now I'm petrified. I never had any issues prior to stating treatment. Anyone who had a similar experience

my neck is in the girls, so I do get a sore throat. Thyroid cancer is known to be more common in women with BC, so it is just something to be aware of.

Most likely you are experiencing gastric reflux. It can cause throat irritation and even asthma-like symptoms. I ran into that at a time when I was under tremendous stress. When the stress was over, the symptoms went away.
