Hot flashes worse now after 9 years

Just curious if anyone else has had their hot flashes/night sweats get worse after this long. I had a host/ooph almost 9 years ago and I have struggled with hot flashes ever since but they have really gotten worse over the last few months. I have been on many anti depressants over the years but never stayed on any for very long. I was in to see my dr recently and when I told her how bad they have become she suggested I try effexor. I just got the script and I will be trying it.
