This is really a great thread. I saw so many beautifull realizations !
Art is what gives me energy and allows me to express my feelings. I never took any lessons, so I'm not as talented as most of you are. But still, I enjoy painting (aquarelle and acryl mainly) and trying lots of different crafts.
My son as a teenager (a few years ago already) :
Abstract : first painting after I was diagnosed.
I still have to finish this one. Which means I have to go back to Provence next summer.
Next challenge for now : my daughter asked me to realize a reverse painting on plexiglass !
-
I agree, you definitely will have to go back to Provence. I'm curious what your daughter will do with the reverse painting on plexiglass. It might be easy to do. You can draw on one side, paint on the other, and just wipe off the guidelines. Perhaps I shall try this.
-
HegeKonstance, Sometimes it won't load a photo because it's too large. Perhaps you can save it to a smaller size and try again. I hope so because we'd love to see it.
-
I'll second that!

I am so glad this thread exists. I love to paint and draw and like many others have said art has helped me through my BC journey. Every year I paint a holiday card to send to friends and family. This year I painted an oil pastel painting that represents my breast tumor. My tumor is called a phyllodes which is Greek and means leaf like because the tumor grows in the shape of a leaf. So here is my leaf. I also included different aspects of my path report all the crazy things the tumor cells were doing. I had fun putting the colors together.
Ok I might sound like I have lost my mind, but I like being able to turn my BC into art.
Hugs and Love to all,
Sara

What Feline said. Do you have it copied to make into cards? Some of the people in my watercolor class have done that with their better paintings. It looks like fun.
-
Yes i have sent it off to the copy store to make prints to turn into cards. What kind of art have you done this year that has made you feel good?
Hugs to all,
Sara

Before I got young people's cataracts, I'm only 54 due to steroids, I use to paint and sketch, crochet, read, do yard work and gardening. My days now are spent playing Sugar Smash on my phone and watching movies and cooking shows. I hope y'all enjoy the pics.
