Does anyone have experience with CTCA? How did it go? I'm considering the Zion, IL location which is a breast cancer specialty location.

I would choose an NCI Cancer center at a major hospital or university over them if one is reasonably close to you. They cherry-pick patients and only accept ones with very good insurance coverage. Their commercials have bordered on "snake-oil" claims in the past and they have gotten in trouble for it.

I agree with Melissa. This hospital was cited as being "elitist" and only taking patients they knew would have good outcomes so their claims of better than average survival rates are not fair to other hospitals who take everyone. Some people did like CTA to be fair, but may Physicians say there practices are suspect. I also agree with Melissa about using an NCI designated Cancer Hospital if you have one near you as they have the most resources and usually the best doctors for cancer as the rankings are strict. Please google for US News and world Reports rankings and also google CTA to find reviews.

CTA claims they treat the whole person with nutrition and massage etc. I had all of that and more at my NCI hospital (YALE) and feel they did a great job. Best of luck whatever you decide.
