Extremely Nervous!!!

Hello everyone...I am very very new to all of this. No one in my family has ever had breast cancer, so I am just in a little daze about this. This past Monday (21st) my doctor took a biopsy in my nipple area to see if it is Paget's Disease. I first notice a little dryness on the bottom area of my areola back in middle of August and it was a little swollen as well. I went to my doctor on Sept 7 and at first he said it looked like Mastitis and he put me on Keflex for two weeks and told me to come back and see him then, because if the antibiotics did not work, then he wanted to do a biopsy to check for Pagets Disease. Obviously the antibiotics did not work, so here I am patiently waiting to hear results...all the while I am googling information...seeing pictures...getting myself all worked up...constantly checking my breast. I will say that it looks alot better since he has done the biopsy...its still tender and stings from time to time. I have an appt to see him next Wednesday to take the stitches out. I play out scenarios in my head about what if. I do have implants and wondering if they will have to come out...do they stay in...I dont know...some say if I haven't heard anything by now, that it is a good sign, but I just think its because lab takes awhile. Thanks for listening. I have enjoyed getting information off here about the subject and it has been helpful.

TV, sorry you are going through the waiting hell of biopsies.

Hopefully someone will come along that has experience with Pagets. I am a lobular gal.....lol... Not funny, but sometimes....we learn so much in this nightmare, more than we thought possible.

I hope you get a call today. Waiting is the worst. Let us know.
