I am a bit confused about the wording and nothing else was noted no birads noted are anything and was told more test were needed in another letter before this one. Going to try go by and see if you can get my workup from them later. Thanks for listening Deannie

I'm not familiar with your situation, but wanted to post a reply. Typically, Bi-RADS 3 is worded "Probably Benign" and has a follow-up schedule of 6 months. So, it's likely the rating that was assigned to you. I've pasted some info below.

    BI-RADS 3

    Probably Benign Finding
    Initial Short-Interval Follow-Up Suggested

    • The initial short-term follow-up of a BI-RADS 3 lesion is a unilateral mammogram at 6 months, then a bilateral follow-up examination at 12 months. Assuming stability perform a follow-up after one year and optionally after another year.
    • If the findings shows no change in the follow up the final assessment is changed to BI-RADS 2 (benign) and no further follow up is needed.

    Hi Deannie:

I think you know this already, since your are going in to get more information, but the letters are more form follow-up. There is a separate formal report written by the radiologist, reporting on the specific findings, and you are entitled to receive copies to see exactly what is says, and what was recommended.
