Pregnancy Associated BC - incl. lactation and post-partum 5 yrs+
I was a slightly older mom but I was diagnosed while breastfeeding so I have been collecting research and articles as I have tried to address my disease from this under-researched area. Please post useful links and articles that can help us build a body of evidence that we can improve our outcomes.
Tagging this with its abbreviations: PABC, GABC
"Pregnancy at a relatively young age reduces the risk of breast cancer over the long term, but epidemiological studies have found that women are at an increased risk for breast cancer during pregnancy and for up to 10 years after giving birth, said Debra Tonetti, associate professor of pharmacology and lead researcher on the study. These pregnancy-associated breast cancers also carry an unusually high risk of spreading to nearby organs and for lethality as compared to breast cancers in women who have never been pregnant, she said."

I read about a woman who persisted in being treated for parathyroid issues and her fibroid tumor and a host of other health issues went away. It turns out that elevated parathyroid hormone (PTH) increases risk of developing breast cancer and it tends to also go up during pregnancy and lactation. Low magnesium increases parathyroid issues and it was something I tested low to and also something that naturopathic oncologists are taugh to check in new cancer patients as magnesium tends to be low.

Expression of the Pluripotency Transcription Factor OCT4 in the Normal and Aberrant Mammary Gland
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3622876/
"Breast cancers with lactating features, some of which are associated with pregnancy and lactation, are often poorly differentiated, lack estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and HER2 expression and have high mortality. Very little is known about the molecular mechanisms that drive uncontrolled cell proliferation in these tumors and confer lactating features. We have recently reported expression of OCT4 and associated embryonic stem cell self-renewal genes in the normal lactating breast and breastmilk stem cells (hBSCs)"

I am glad I found this thread, as I also stumbled across research on postpartum BC and have been following the growing body of research. Virginia Borges from University of Colorado does a lot of research on PABC, and she presented at the last ASCO on postpartum breast cancer. Her slides are available for purchase on the ASCO slide library. It updates her previously published research which you have cited above. I read somewhere that they have expanded the size of the group they are following, and unfortunately, the picture is not getting any less scary. I just wish more doctors knew about this and could advise on how this impacts clinical treatment decisions - mine had never heard of it and blew it off as bunk, but when I use google scholar to research the link between reproductive factors and breast cancer, there have been articles linking pregnancy and breastfeeding to breast cancer for years.
I also saw Vogue published an article on this in November 2015 - seems sad when vogue magazine is more to date than my oncologist!
Not sure if you had already included this one:
