I was dx yesterday with lung cancer!! How ever they do not know what kind. They thought it maybe be a rare neuroeendrocrine tumor. They didn't think it was from the breast cancer because he checked my tumor markers and they were normal. Does this sound right? If the lung tumor was a met would my tumor markers go up

    hi Ivey,

    So sorry that you find yourself in this situation. I don't know much about tumor markers, since my mo does not do them. Have you had a biopsy of the lung tumor? The pathology done on tissue sample would tell if was bc or lung cancer. Wishing you the best.

    yes I had a biopsy and all they can tell me is they think it is a primary of some type of rare lung cancer. I have to have surgery and then maybe the path from that will tell more
