Does DCIS trigger an immune response?

Just saw a post about Paraneoplastic Syndrome in the IDC forum and wondered if DCIS would trigger an immune response similar to the extent that metasticizing BC would?

In my case, this whole BC ordeal was triggered when a spot was seen in the center of my chest on a CT scan and then a PET scan. That spot was later determined to be an enlarged thymus gland which I was told was enlarged as a result of a series of severe infections I had in 2013/2014. The thymus gland produces T cells that fight infection. But it continued to be enlarged this year after my infections were resolved so I'm wondering if its continued enlargement is/was related to the presence of the comedo necrosis cells or the tiny bit of IDC in my body since the presence of cancer cells can trigger an immune response too.

My DCIS was multifocal and much larger than the IDC and although comedo necrosis cells are malignant, I don't know if the immune system would react as strongly toward them as it would towards invasive cells, hence my question.
