Intense itchy feet and hands from Taxol

HELP! Has anyone experienced intense itching at the bottom of your feet and in the olds of your hands due to dry skin from the use of taxol? My MO says it's a side effect from the taxol and to use a good moisturizing lotion such as Eucerin. Another head chemo nurse recommended a more natural remedy by slathering my feet with Vaseline and sleeping with socks and gloves for my hands. The Vaseline helps but it's been almost 3 weeks since my last taxol treatment and I'm still having intense itching in my feet. Especially when I walk. I want to stop and scream it's like I can do nothing to stop it. Anti itch creams didn't help btw. Any suggestions anyone

Imagineme13 - I had the same thing. It turned into hives and was also on my chest and neck and stomach. Nearly went crazy. I used ice packs on my hands. But the best thing was taking a couple of days of steroids. I had them on hand while doing my chemo so I took 2 (one in morning and one in evening) for 2 days. It was the only thing that finally cleared it up. I followed up with lots and lots and lots of lotion. Hope this helps you.
