So I went to the fitter last week ..I tried abc massage breast form 10275.I liked it though i havnt read much about it here ..I asked my fitter to show me some more options but she said this is the best according to my other breast shape..But she agreed that next time she will show me some more options..I'm going next week again.

Anyone here Used/using ABC Massage..???

Can anyone suggest me a bra and prosthesis to wear at home/ can sleep with ..something for casual wear..I can only buy 1 silicon prosthesis in 2 years through insurance..but I can't wear that all the time ..so I need something else too.

I like Bali bras I have heard good reviews about Bali comfort revolution is that good ..I can sew pockets in that or any other bras ..I would like some color choice..and which prosthesis ?? I don't know much but every prosthesis looks different in different bra..right .??

    Hi Netrajkr:

I went to the fitter at my hospital after bilateral mastectomy, and I have two ABC 10295 Massage Form Silhouettes, size 2 (shallow projection). From the ABC pamphlet, my 10295's looks like they are very similar to the 10275 (average projection) that you tried, except for projection and a slightly wider footprint. The forms are very nice, quite comfortable and "huggable".

Here is a link to a 2014 pamphlet from ABC, which describes both forms:

    http://www.americanbreastcare.com/retailers/abccat...

When I wear the 10295's, I use an ABC pocketed mastectomy bra (Style 105, Petite T-shirt Bra, for shallow to average profiles, page 58 of the pamphlet), which was the only kind the hospital carried. Despite the name, there is a full range of sizes, and it is available from MetroMedicalOnline.com:

    http://www.metromedicalonline.com/abc105.html#.VdY...

If I were to replace my forms, I would definitely consider the ABC 10275, because its average projection would probably fill out most bras better. There is a little empty space in the top part of the cup of my bra, despite the bra being shallow to average. Also, the 10295 has a "wider footprint", but I have a small frame so I am not sure I need that. (Another member recommended I try the Trulife Ella bra, so that is on my to do list.)

From another thread, I think you are a Uni, size 34D? I am about 105 pounds, and mostly I wear size 1 microbead forms from the American Cancer Society's TLC. (The bra I use is designed for A/AA cups). The TLC microbead forms are expensive in my view ($60.00 for one), but seem to wear well and have a variety of sizes:

You might also want to look into foam or weighted foam forms, which many people like, including larger uni's. I don't like foam anything (foam-phobic) for some reason.

At home, I go flat most of the time, so I'm not sure what would be good for sleeping. Perhaps others can chime in on the leisure/sleeping question.

You've probably seen the breastfree.org site, but I'll include the link for completeness, because it has lots of good information about forms, bras, etc. and there are on-line sources listed under "Helpful Links" in the menu at right.

    Good Luck!

You might try one of these for comfort.

    Awesome Breastforms

Giving you back your curves. For those with mastectomies, not having reconstruction.

Wonderful news... Our very active group of volunteers has been busy knitting and crocheting breast forms for those having a mastectomy without reconstruction. These forms are lighter and cooler than the silicone forms to wear and are made using soft 100% cotton. They are available in cup sizes from A to DD. We will take special orders such as larger sizes, lumpectomies, on requests. You are welcome to choose forms in light and dark skin tones, pastels or go really funky with wild & crazy ones, nipples or no nipples. Because we crochet and knit the orders as they come in, we do our best to give you the colour choice. We do send them around the world so don't be afraid to ask if you want your curves back.

The forms are totally free....you will NOT be asked for a monetary donation. Please drop by and visit our website and read what others have said about our forms on the Loving My Curves section of the website.

Please check us out. The instructions for ordering are on the website.

Barred Owl, I love your suggestions. You and I are the same size. I am looking for a new prosthesis and this gave me some great ideas. Thanks again.

    Hi Aug:

I am still wearing the ABC 10295 Massage Form Silhouettes, size 2 (shallow projection) with ABC pocketed mastectomy bra in Size 36AA (Style 105, Petite T-shirt Bra, for shallow to average profiles). As I mentioned, there is a little empty space in the cup, because the form is "shallow". Haven't found a better bra yet for these forms. You might start by finding the bra that is most comfortable band wise, and go to a fitter and select the best sized prosthesis for the cup.

For leisure, I use Coobie bras and Zee Bras that I ordered on-line. I learned about them on Breastfree.org. They are not mastectomy bras, but since they have pockets for an insert/liner, they can be adapted.

For exercising (walking), I wear a Coobie Scoopneck Bra (#9012) with no form inside at all ("empty"), just the insert that comes with the Coobie and a second liner from my Zee Bras (which comes with four cup liners per bra). I think the Coobie Scoopneck probably works best for band size 36 or less because of its elastic nature. Coobie now has other styles that come in sizes as well as "full" sizes. This is the regular Scoopneck:

My favorite and most comfortable bra for everyday is the Zee Bra (also available from Amazon, with reviews there). Zee Bra is designed for smaller cup sizes (AA, A) and the largest band size is 36. It has nice smooth fabric, simple styling, is nicely made, and has no clasp. The pocket openings are larger than the Coobie's and it does not squeeze me (not elastic). See this site for sizing instructions:

    http://thezeebra.com

I wear a size 36 Zee Bra with the Size 1 microbead forms from the American Cancer Society (TLC Direct # 8139, size 1). The TLC microbead forms are sort of expensive ($60.00 each, $120 per pair), but are nicely made and wear well. My sister said "they are quite lifelike" in appearance. Eventually, I bought 2 pairs of the microbead forms and keep them "pre-loaded" in one black and one nude/gold bra, all ready to go. The bra and forms are hand washable.

    https://www.tlcdirect.org/Micro-Bead-Lightweight-B...

The microbead forms don't bounce right back if poked, so I wear them with one Zee Bra liner so they keep their shape better. This keeps them from squishing, but makes them a little hard. I have prioritized comfort and profile over huggability.
