cp418, you do such a great job finding all the new studies, but I must say that I am a little dubious about this article. The writer specializes in bio-identical hormone therapy, and the explanations seem a bit muddled. The government study that is linked at the beginning, the one predicting an increase in BC, quotes the study author as saying the rise in ER+ BC:

"is thought to be related to certain "Western" lifestyle factors — such as obesity, lack of exercise and exposure to hormones (through birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy, for instance)."

Nothing about plastics or so-called "estrogen dominance."

I realize it is not a scientific article but as generalized news. I thought is was interesting as there was mention of environmental estrogen dominance regarding BPA in plastics, etc. The mention of estrogen related to inflammation caught my interest too. I just posted it as a general article that might have some informational details.

Momine the quote that you posted was by Dr Graham Colditz one of the heroes that came out of the HRT drug wars in the 1990's. Nice to see that he is still in action.

I just found this recent blog post by Dr. Colditz, apologies if you already picked this one earlier cp418 or anyone else. References are listed at the end which is always nice.
