With the other chemo I expected chemo. I was having TCHP. Now after my first Herceptin only I have all over body aches still. I also had a migraine for the second time during chemo. I have headaches and migraines a lot from my stroke but this was bad ebough I wanted to go to the er. I held out. I still am in all over pain. Anyone else have this from only Herceptin? Thank you

How fast was your infusion? Some have experienced body aches with a 30 minute infusion, which is the minimum infusion time for a Herceptin, and have had reduced issues with this when the infusion was lengthened to 90 minutes. This was true for me, and I had not experienced body aching during the 6 TCH infusions where my Herceptin was at the slower rate, but my first Herceptin only was done at 30 minutes and I had so much hip and leg pain I could not sleep for longer than 15 minutes in any one position. I asked to have the Herceptin infused at the 90 min rate at the next infusion, problem solved. It doesn't hurt to try it if you are currently receiving it in 30 mins.

    jumble,

Yes, what Specialk says. I've had all my herceptins at 90 minutes and have had no problems. You might ask if you can do a longer infusion, nobody seems to mind doing it that way

Mine is 90 and I appreciate that they do it that way. I am just wondering why I am having this pain It may just be my body.

i am on Herceptin been on it since March first with chemo and now alone I have a dull achy feeling this time for about 10 days after the Herceptin now it is gone but I take Herceptin again in 4 days see how it goes this time. Mine is over the 30 minutes but i'll put up with the pain to get it over with in a short time not a big fan of sitting there for 90 minutes unless it gets to much for me.
