my biopsy results are in .... the larger lump it says is highly celluar and contains a population of malignant cells. these cells are occuring as a strikingly dispersed cell population with occasional groups. it also says the appearances are those of malignancy and cote biopsy is needed for subtyping . the malignancy also shows a high degree of cellular pleomorphism....

the doc has provided me a referral to a breast surgeon and said im sorry ..... im not sure what this means . . i have a core biopsy on the 25th but im seriously stressed ...

Of course you are stressed. It is like an avalanche of bad stuff all at once. Most people will tell you that this period of cancer treatment is the pits. You have an initial DX, but no details and no plan. It does get better once you have some more detailed info and some sense of what you will do about it. Let us know how the appointment goes.

Momine is exactly right. You are in probably the most stressful phase of the process. The unknown one. We have all been there. Once you know exactly what you are dealing with it will be less stressful. The DX is scary to be sure. I think I was in a fog until my treatment.

We will help you as best we can. There are lots of posts here that will take you from start to finish. We aren't doctors but we will share our experiences with you.

Try to stay busy. Take someone with you if you can to your appt with your BS. You will be inundated with information. Ask questions.

Most of all keep the faith. We are all living proof you can and will get through this.

    Diane
