Frozen shoulder, depression and Tamoxifen

Hey everyone... I am having some major issues and not sure if it's side effects from Tamoxifen. I have a frozen shoulder aka adhesive capsulitis. According to my MRI, it's considered small, yet my pain is horrid and has gotten much worse over the past month or 2. Also in the past week I find myself crying constantly and wishing I was dead. I actually have a pretty good life so I'm thinking there's something chemically wrong going on with me because this is bad. So I'm wondering if the Tamoxifen, which I've been taking for a few months is actually preventing my shoulder from healing, contributing to the pain and/or causing this terrible depression like I haven't had in nearly 10 years.

Brandi999, I too had frozen shoulder, and mine was caused by the 9 hour diep surgery. Sarah, the physical therapist I see tried to work through it with little result and finally sent me to a orthopedist. Settled on having an injection of 80mgs Triamcinolone and 0.5% Marcaine and was warned about the risk of infection, steroidflare and persisting symptoms. Also had a chat about manipulation under anaesthetic but decided to reserve this for if things don't work out with the injection. The injection did it, out of pain, I progressed fairly fast and did not require a surgical release and continued on with physio to full recovery, within a few months. I've read of many frozen shoulders arising via reconstruction, particularly diep. There was no way I could continue to feel so painful and miserable - to accept as normal, so little range of movement and reduced usage of my left arm for 18 months while it resolved on it's own.

I have not taken Tamoxifen so I have no comment on that yet, my PTSD, depression, anxiety and inability to move on was helped by a psychologist and she used this: EMDR (click this to read what it is) and was able move me on, over the course of several weeks. I really hope you find relief soon and not have to suffer in pain.
