Worried about recurrance
Hi all you lovely strong ladies
This is my first post so please bear with me.I was first diagnosed on nov 11 with idc and dcis, after 6 months previous been told i was absolutely fine and to 'run along'.Now i had 2 tumors and all kinds off hell (i was 39 with a 3 5 7 yrs olds fun fun fun)
Anyhow chose not to attack about the whys and get on with the cancer kicking which i did thank god.I have been generally fine since no major hurdles apart from my brother then having tyhroid cancer followed a month or so by my mum having a bad stroke!!!!so life has been a little stressful. But hey it could be worse.
My question is my remaining breast over the last coulpe of months has become sore and painful in one spot which radiates to my armpit,to the extent now i find myself pressing in on it to relieve it. (This is very like what i used to do on other side for 2 years before diagnoses)i can feel a little thicken area around pain site.I have had breadt lift to this breast so may well be scar tissue.i have my annual mammo late sept and with onc in october, but am wondering if i should try pull these forward.Or just wait it out?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and thanks for reading

thank you ladies for taking the time to reply to my query.i will take your advice and get in touch with hospital to see can I shift appointments up,although I'm sure I will be told to wait as I'm in the Irish system and it doesn't always go smoothly!!
Can't sleep at all at moment either but am putting that down to a stressful few months .isnt it funny how cancer and chemo really are the gifts that keep on giving !!!
Looking forward to my baby sisters wedding in October at which I'm bridesmaid in little scrappy dress to show off my new boob!!
I am in awe of all the strong and positive ladies on here,so happy to have found this forum

Well I had my implants place in 2 months ago. Now I have 2cm lump under my armpit. I also felt a small lump right above the lump. One is hard the other one feels like a small pearl inside my skin. I don't know what to do. I went to my Oncologist and she send me for a pet scan which my insurance did not approve. My plastic surgeon wants to remove it. The doctor that had removed my tumor is no longer my doctor she moved to another. State. Now I'm not sure who to see. I'm also waiting on my oncologist to see if they approve a CT scan. I'm sick of thinking I'm sick again.

Hi all
Little update. So i had a pelvi ultrasound last wednesday and while there nurse noticed i was due mamogram and organised for me to have it done that day too.So am waiting on results on both scans.I feel as though im going to be told all is ok but i cant seem to settle my head .I know they would have called by now if something was amiss with mamo ,but going on previous history i dont hold much confidence in them (didnt up tumors last time!!).i still have pain in same spot which can be quite burning/stinging.My head is soo messed up right now i dont know what to do,my husbands mother is possibly being taken off life support this week also so cant talk to him about my fears.
Do i trust my own gut feelings or sit it out as see what happens??

so found out today i have 4/5 cm cyst on right ovary.gp not too worried when telling me but got phone call within half hour of appointment to see gyny on monday.anyone else have experience of cysts while on exemestane?
I had hysterectomy in 2009 and was told that that and the exemestane would see off the cysts, which clearly hasnt happened!!!
Am so freaked out at the moment.when does this all finally end????

same here I have pain on my other breast and I am really worried any update??

hi all
Well i had my laporoscopy yesterday, all went well apart from getting kept in due to bladder retention!!cyst was drained and he seems confident its nothing sinister phew!!! He did say i have endometriosis though which is new and ive had a hysterectomy so wasnt expecting that one.all blood tests were fine and tumour marker was good too,so do you think i can take it that pain in right breast is just normal and nothing to worry about????
I see my oncologist on the 19th so will probably mention it anyhow.are tumour markers reliable and do they cover all cancers?
Thanks in advance for any advise

Thanks roby7 that would be great.
Saw my onc last monday and expressed concerns about right breast and pain,he did an exam and said that he could feel something hard in spot where pain is but doesnt think its anything sinister, but he is sending me for ultrasound next monday to make sure.
Not sure how i feel at moment,am trying to go with his nothing to worry about but have been down that road before and it didnt lead anywhere nice!!!
So must wait till 2nd november for ultrasound. And hopefully 2 days later ill be able to say 4 years out and clear!!
