Pathology report

I have been wondering for a while now and after having studied my lumpectomy path report.. How can they determine "no mets" on a path report? I read much about stray cells and so on and im a little confused on how they determine this diagnosis in a single breast biopsy .. My oncotype was low if this helps any

Hi Stacey-

I'm no expert and I'm sure there will someone who comes along to better answer your question. But sometimes they are referring to lymph node metastisis or not having a positive node on a SNB. It depends I guess on what you are specifically referring to in your path report
