I just had my mammogram, had one two years ago all clear after undergoing lumpectomy and full radiation therapy in 2011 through 2012. The screens have not been looked at from radiologist yet, but I saw the small films and there is clear and larger calcifications then the fist time in various places! My guess is dcis again. Have any one of you on the board had this yet! I have read that it could be a 50% chance of being invasive through the cell wall

My moms dcis came back this May, 19 years after her lumpectomy and radiation. We were told before sugery (madtectomy) that it was 99% still dcis. Turned out that it was invasive and has spread to chest wall and underarm lymph nodes. She just started hormone therapy but at 79 has decided no chemo for her.

Desert girl Thanks for the information...it's always appreciated! hope your mom stays strong! I'm not sure I would do chemo either, after watching my best friend loose her battle with breast cancer and with the best care in the country chemo couldn't help here type of cancer any way!

let me caution that you are not a radiologist so don't jump to conclusions (unless of course you are a radiologist). Lumpectomy and radiation can do all sorts of things to the breast tissue. The radiologist will know this. Don't worry just yet.

Out of curiosity, why did you wait two years for a mammo? I will be having them every six months along with MRIs for the next several years.
