Increased allergies post chemo?

Any one notice an increased sensitivity to allergens post chemo?

My seasonal allergies were worse this year and my sinuses frequently bothered me.

Also, a sterling silver ring that I always wore pre-chemo, but not during tx, is now causing my finger to itch and I get red bumps after wearing it just a few hours.

Anyone else notice a change?

I have very few allergies - hornet/wasp/yellow jackets are bad. Very allergic to mangos (the juice, sap of the trees and even dew/rain that drips off the trees) - reaction like poison ivy gives some (not me). (I have been told that some in the Midwest call bell peppers "mangoes" but I am talking about the tropical fruit that grows on trees.)

I have to say that in the 5 1/2 yrs since end of TX I have a lot less infections. I have fought bad sinus infections all my life (several a year) and 'caught' every cold going around (nothing serious, just aggtavating) but in those yrs I have only had a couple of mild sinus infections and no 'colds' I remember.

Added: I have read in several places (don't remember where) that for some chemo can actually strengthen the immune system for some of us by 'challenging' it.

I never had chemo but did do Aromasin. I also in 2013 had sinus surgery for polyps, took me months to get rid of the residual infection which must have raging for know idea how long as I had continual sinus infections and was on anti biotics in seemed all the time

now since that surgery, my allergic reactions are off the roof. I am one of those special folks who have asthma, NSAID allergic and sinus polyps. Looked into what is called aspirin desensitation but that is a dif nightmare. I react strongly to many cleaning supplies (keep scrubbing bubbles away from me). Then again, no longer allergic to cats and fur so ~~~

I am currently dealing with a bad back and have been having problems finding a medicine I can tolerate. I react to things that the docs say but no one is allergic to that!

I realize your post is from a long while ago, but I have these exact symptoms. I can't wear my wedding rings anymore and my alert goes are awful.

I may try vitamin C infusions and see if that helps. I hope you are well and living a healthy life!
