    Hi,

    I had a lumpectomy yesterday on my right side. No lymph nodes taken at this time since it appears to be pure DCIS (will know Friday when path comes in).

    Yesterday I had a sore throat to be expected after surgery, but today it is only on the right side and my neck node is a bit tender. Also my actual incision area has no pain, but around my breast , the chest area hurts, not bad, just sore. I'm thinking all my lymph nodes in the area are working hard for this assault on my body.


    Is this normal? It doesn't hurt nearly enough for me to call the DR. I'm just checking to see if this is common. No fever, no other aches and pains, no redness or swelling on the breast that I can see, it is under gauze I keep on until Friday.
