This is my first time posting anything but have been reading thru several of the post. They have been so helpful in this new world of confusion I find myself in. I was just wondering if anybody got their cat scan back with nodules in the lungs. Mine says they found a 2 to 3 mm nodule density in the left lung and 3 mm nodular density on the right lung. It says that it most likely represents a small intrapulmonary lymph node. I have searched on the internet and cant really find any info about it. My oncologist shrugged it off as no big deal but said in a year we would check again. Waiting a year seems chancy to me. I was diagnosed with IDC about 2.7 cm. So far it doesn't look like it is in the lymph nodes but want know for sure until after my mastectomy. Any info on this is greatly appreciated. I really can't stop worrying about it being in my lungs.

Not in my lung, but a nodule showed up on my thyroid. They also said it probably wasn't of any big concern, but would do another CT down the road. Everything is SO confusing at first and I wish I had found these boards sooner. I know it's impossible not to worry, so I will just say "remember to take deep breaths". I read that some place on here one time ... and find it helps with calming me down on rough days. Welcoming you here to a place none of us really want to be and wishing you the best.

    Dear wgkbkh321,

We are sorry about your recent diagnosis but glad that you reach out to our community. We hope that you will hear back from others with respect to your question but please know that there is much support and information that is shared here from others who truly understand. We wonder if it is possible to let your oncologist know that you are concerned. You might consider asking what it is about these particular nodes that keeps him/her from being concerned. Is it their appearance? Their size? Perhaps you could learn from your oncologist a bit more about the nature of the nodes and what your CAT scan showed that would help to lessen your worry.

We hope this helps. The Initial stages of begin diagnosed and getting ready for treatment can be very anxiety provoking. Many of our members suggest that having more information helps to lessen the worry. Figuring out what works for you to cope is essential. Please stay connected here. Let us know how things go for you. The Mods
