Collapsed lung! Are you in the hospital? That is no fun at all (I was hospitalized for a week when I had one). Please take good care and update when you can.

jen1, a collapsed lung can be caused by factors that aren't cancer. I'm sorry you're enduring this. You'll be in my prayers. Let us know how you get on, OK?

    Jen,

I'm concerned. A collapsed lung, pneumothorax, is generally considered an emergency situation. I'm not a doctor, of course, but maybe you should touch base with yours again. And yes, sbelizabeth is correct. Lung collapse can be caused by things other than cancer. It can even be spontaneous. Mine was caused by a "slow leak" after my lung was nicked during port insertion.

    Take care, Caryn

Hi ladies I am feeling a little better. My collapsed lung according to doctors is not really a truly collapsed lung but some of the sacs????? Well anyway had echocardiio and will be seeing lung doctor because of shortness of breath. I start back to work tomorrow( new school year) . I am trying not to worry so much about recurrence Thank you all for your kind words and concern.
