I very seldom (if ever) carry a 'purse' but carry a small back pack instead. Usually just sling it over my left shoulder as is quick and easy to put on and take off. I also have a med. sized back pack and a large one that I use from time to time. The large one is set up as a Survival kit with many things that could be needed if I wind up in a survival situation. I also keep my Audubon Society books (Birds, Trees, Insects, Reptiles) in it and always have it in the truck when I/we go up in the Hills or out on the prairie in case I see something interesting to check out.

I would not think that a 14 y/o sleeve would be a good idea. In those many years the material/elasticity has probably deterioted drastically. My LET guy say that if you only have 1 sleeve/glove it should be replaced every 3 months. He always orders me 2 new sets every 6 months.

I do have arthritis in both hands according to Xrays but have no pain from it.

Kicks:  do you mind if I ask what is in your survival backpack?  I've been thinking of making one.

I'll be happy to list all I have in my Survival Kit(s). It'll probably be Mon before I have time to do a good 'job' of explaining what I carry and how it differs with the seasons and locations.

Your survival kit changes with the seasons?  I guess that would make sense up North,,, here in FL,,, it's mostly one season,,, hot,, not quite as hot,, and hot as he!!
